Floods hit five Iranian provinces

Iranian authorities have announced that flood waters have swept through five Iranian provinces.

The agency “Fars” Iran, the deputy head of the relief and rescue organization Shaheen Fathi said that five provinces were swept by the flood waters, namely Elam, Jaharamal, Bkhtiari, Khuzestan, Ziljan and Kermanshah.

He added that relief services included 1,000 people in 17 cities and villages until Monday afternoon and relief teams continue their activities.

The official confirmed that 800 people were housed in the province of Khuzestan in the south-west of the country and they had 4 camps in the areas of Shosh and Dasht Azadkan.
